There are so many activities on offer for kids in Summer Holidays. But we went to check out the FREE, open events that you can wander around just by taking a trip along the Southbank for Summer 2016. Here's what we stumbled on...
Right next door to the Southbank, The Wonderground site is a cabaret-themed event space for lots of entertainment, shows and adult-friendly events. However, the site is open for free during the day for families to wander round and take a trip on the fairground rides. (There's also a Heineken bar for any parents in need!)
Inspired by the Rio Olympics, there's a mini beach on site outside the Southbank Centre. Kids can play in the sand while parents check out the Brazillian street food carts and Copacabana-inspired beach bar.
To celebrate the new BFG film, there's loads of BFG-inspired activites at the Southbank Centre, as well as this fun Dream Jar Trail along the river. Kids can search out the huge glass bottles littered all over central London and see what dreams lie inside.
If you head towards Tower Bridge, you'll spot some summer activities around More London (better known as The Scoop). As well as the 'unofficial' kids playing fountains here, you'll find a pop-up Rio-inspired beach bar, live music events and outdoor screenings of summer events like the Olympics.
