'World' might be a bit of a stretch, but there's certainly lots of space for little ones to explore at the Crystal Palace Sports Centre.
We love it because... The Sports Centre is light, open and spacious - perfect for letting crawlers and toddlers roam free, and the subtle scent of 'swimming pool' in the air makes you feel refreshed and as though you're participating in some kind of healthy activity. Their 'Toddlers World' morning sessions feature a huge bouncy castle and a huge set up of crash mats and basic gym equipment, to get kids going with rolly-pollys, tunnels and climbing.
We spotted... There's a Better Centre assistant on hand to help monitor the craziness/instruct any gym-related activity on the mats or bouncy castle, as well as lots of basic toys and books for younger babies.
Rupert, aged 11 months says... It was nice to have some room to practise my crawling, since I'm usually cooped up in a cafe with mum or struggling to restrain myself in a sensory or singing class. Mum wasn't worried either, as there was loads of soft flooring and mats so I was allowed to dive headfirst into some toys and fall off everything, which usually gets me in trouble.
Top tip... If you want to make a day of it, it's only a short walk into Crystal Palace Park and Brown & Green in Crystal Palace Station, and there's free parking at the Centre too.
