The Summer Holidays are coming to an end - are you running out of activities for the kids yet? What better place to let off some steam than Brockwell Park.
We love it because... Brockwell Park is fully equipped to tire out even the most active kids! Set in the heart of Herne Hill, sprawling towards Tulse Hill and Brixton, the park is huge and there's plenty of space to find your own secluded spot for a quiet picnic or, more likely, let your children run free! (While you have a coffee....)
We spotted... The list goes on and on, but to name a few highlights, we saw: BMX tracks, basketball courts, tennis courts, cricket practice nets, an adventure playground, a paddling pool and sandpit, a walled garden, a huge pond and last but not least, the lovely Brockwell Lido and cafe. There really is something for everyone. We recently visited with parents who'd come to stay and they loved wandering around the walled garden, whilst the kids ran off to play in the sandpit.
When to go... Everyone loves a park on a sunny day, but the adventure playground at Brockwell park is busy come rain or shine. With a zip wire and all sorts of entertainment for bigger and littler kids, it's always a hit and you can grab something yummy from the Lido cafe on the way to keep you warm!
