Are you getting bored of baby chat 24/7? Want to meet some local Mums who have new ideas and different personalities? Check out the Netwalking events held by Mothers Meeting.
We loved it because... Netwalking, hosted by Mothers Meetings is a breath of fresh air as a Mum on maternity leave. We're all pretty familiar with regular NCT catch ups, but this is such a great opportunity to chat about something other than the latest colour of our baby's poo! It's a great reminder that we are ladies with brains and personalities (as well as being awesome Mums!) so it was refreshing to meet so many other women with fantastic ideas too.
We spotted... IT consultants, nail technicians, film location scouts, copywriters, digital consultants, hypnobirthers, seamstresses, civil servants....to name but a few! The best thing about netwalking is that we had the opportunity to have a good old chat with these fantastic mums, learning something new from each and every one.
Top tip... Business cards are so old school! Get your social media tags at the ready and get following and sharing with all the other lovely Mums you meet. You'll click immediately with some of them and realise there's a massive support network out there, outside of mum and baby groups. Whether it's a buddy to go for coffee and a chinwag with, or someone else that can help you build your mumpreneurial ideas, this event is a great place to start.
