Located in the back-streets of Peckham, you're unlikely to accidentally stumble across the Peckham Bazaar. But when you find it...it's a little gem for a night off from the kids!
We love it because... We went on a Friday night and the place was buzzing with a mixed crowd in an intimate space. It feels cosy but not tight and the open kitchen adds to authentic mediterranean ambience. Aside from the great feel of the place, the food is absolutely delicious and bursting with flavours! We were brave and chose more adventurous selections on the pan-Balkan menu and it was well worth it. The super-friendly staff are more than happy to help translate the menu too, just to make sure you know what you're eating!
Top Tip... Book in advance as it does get busy and plan your route from the station! We got a little lost on the way and the local streets aren't the nicest to be wandering around late at night.
We spotted... An outside oven and lots of outdoor seating which we can only imagine has a great atmosphere in the summer.
What's not so good... We found the wine list to be a little limited in terms of choice. A cocktail list would be a great addition too!
When to go... There are so many occasions the Peckham Bazaar is perfect for. Whether it's a date night, night out with the girls or taking the parents out to explore the delights of Peckham, it really does fit the bill.
