We’ll always be fans of a multi-activity centre that holds loads of options for a whole family day out. Come rain or shine, a family farm (like our other favourites Godstone and Bocketts) offers great entertainment for babies, toddlers and school kids.
We visited the Wetlands centre on potentially the coldest day of the year. And did a boat trip. Why not?! Kids don’t care about the weather, and they loved this chance to explore a ever-so-slightly-magical land.
Would you believe us if we told you that you don't need to drive out of the city to visit a farm? Make the most of South East London's rail connections to Shoreditch High Street station and visit Hackney City Farm and Spitalfields City Farm.
Most South Londoners have heard of the local Horniman Museum, famous for the huge stuffed walrus! However, if your children don't have the attention span for a museum, or are too noisy to hang out with the visiting history buffs, the Horniman gardens are a fantastic compromise.
Lauren Taylor, mum to Seren, 3, and Lois, 2, founded Kokoso in 2014 after discovering how amazing raw virgin coconut oil was on her newborn daughter's skin. She now stocks Kokoso in Boots, online at Kokoso.co.uk and is all set to distribute across Europe.
